because it’s Sunday
two glasses bemuse the senses
but it’s the weekend
in between second breakfast
in between Peters Notebook

good, that I was able to help
on a small island
it was to be like this

Late afternoon
at the pub I meet Kezzie and Josh from England
Joshs parents are visiting
I ask, if I can sit with them
(unnecessary question)
sun shines through the windows
guests come and go
in the ashtray a cigarette evaporates
under the table lies a big dog
with a laughing face

After an hour
I cycle toward Skalø
A causeway connects Fejø and Skalø
Oyster fishermen, geese, seagulls, cormorants, herons and ducks
gaggle across each other
on the water and in the sky
wagtails jump across the path
