take pallets somewhere
employees at the conveyors
fruits are washed and sorted
it is worked quickly
and talked few
too loud here
the machines buzz
their own melody
20 or more
women and men
from Poland, Portugal
and all the other countries
wrap the crop
in small bowls
for the journey to Copenhagen
Copenhagen is a big city

1:00 p.m.
lunch hour
the conveyors stand still
finally silence
food and drink
on the many tables
in front of the packing office
the sun is shining
cigarettes are rolled
a cat creeps around
small clouds
motionless on the blue skies
still 3 hours
till closing time
way to quickly
the break is over
a short wordless break
