With the ferry
to the other side
to Kragenæs BLOG 017
a few cars
a few pedestrians
and a school class
on board
the journey takes 15 minutes
quickly the small island becomes
even smaller
from minute to minute
dull weather
seagulls fly past
the sea doesn’t move
we are here
children storm ahead
cars follow
I’m in no hurry and stroll to the købmand
the shopkeeper sells me a cup of coffee
sugar, milk powder, plastic spoon
a few tables stand in front of the shop
drinking coffee and watching the street
a beautiful morning
3 – 4 cars drive past
a truck stops
brings a few boxes of beer
and takes empties back with him
everything calmly
a car parks
- man hops out
- can’t walk properly
- buys a few bottles of beer
- sways back to his car
- drives away
that went very fast!
now an older man limps past
we greet each other
