A few kilometres I walked
over the island
chose the longer way BLOG 031
passing by plantations and fields
today the wind entangles
particularly loud
in the willows and birches
rabbits scamper across
the fallow rape field
a geese family
waddles to the lake
the grey heron
does not want to be seen
stands motionless on the field
swallows chase around
there aren’t many anymore
now it is finally time
for the great flight
I walk past the church
and the old fruit trees
up to the island street
barely any traffic
on Saturday morning
on Fejø
