Paradise apples on the apple plantation
I ask why
there is always an answer BLOG 032
in the countryside
zero waste
and useless things
hourly changes the color
of the sky
I can’t interpret it
the farmer can
the fisher can
and the ferryman as well
the plum harvest is over
what still hangs on the tree
you can take for yourself
I have learned
to detach the fruit
properly from the tree
and to don the rain slicker
before it rains
hooded crows on the
freshly plowed field
paradise apples attract the bees
I know it now
you say, that you
will go back to Portugal
you and your family
you don’t say,
that everything will be better
I think that’s fair
we will miss your laugh
but the houses are built
and a river
flows through your land
the guitar is tuned
I‘ll hear it
one day
