Whining or asking
how long’s it ‘til break
or just complaining about the weather BLOG 002
apparently a taboo
no one does it here
today such a day
that reminds you
you’re nothing more
than a harvest helper
and you’ve got nothing more to do
than to pick fruit
- plums today -
branches scratch the skin bloody
a wasp disappears into the collar
centipedes, spiders and
little white flies
crawl all over you
then: break
break! the boss yells
now slowly strolling to the car
backpack from the trunk
daily bread, tea and water
shadowy spot in the grass
doing nothing for half a hour
puff away a cigarillo after the meal
and
void, silence
and watching the swallows
acrobats up there in the sky

But that’s already it for my lamentation part 2
for today the sun was shining
for today the cool wind came
directly from the sea
which, behind the plantation
sparkles
