Überraschung / Surprise

Vor einer Woche erhielt ich eine E-Mail mit einer Kaufanfrage für ein Bild. Das Motiv ist ein Pferd. Ich habe es im Sommer 2016 mit einer Bronica SQ-A auf Ilford FP4 Plus Mittelformat abgelichtet. 2016 zeigte ich das Bild auf einer Einzelausstellung. Ich habe es ein paar mal auf Baryt-Papier gedruckt, kaschiert und gerahmt im Format 50×50 cm verkauft.
Nun meldete sich die Tochter einer damaligen Käuferin mit dem Wunsch das gleiche Bild zu erwerben. Sie kannte es, da es im Flur der Wohnung ihrer Eltern hängt. Ich war natürlich (10 Jahre später) freudig überrascht. Das Bild geht in den kommenden Tagen nach Amsterdam :-)

A week ago, I received an email enquiring about buying a photograph. The subject is a horse. I took the photograph in the summer of 2016 using a Bronica SQ-A on Ilford FP4 Plus medium-format film. I exhibited the photograph at a solo exhibition in 2016. I printed it a few times on baryta paper, mounted it and sold it framed in a 50×50 cm format.
Now, the daughter of a previous buyer has got in touch, expressing a wish to purchase the same photograph. She recognised it, as it hangs in the hallway of her parents’ flat. I was, of course (10 years later), pleasantly surprised. The photograph is off to Amsterdam in the next few days :-)
